    762x39 non magnetic sources?

Its really hard wading through what is magnetic for a range and what is not from web descriptions.
Anyone have any cheap ammo sources for non magnetic range ammo?>
    thanks

Non magnetic x39 ammo that I am aware of off the top of my head

Off the top of my head, anything made by winchester, hornady, PPU, fiocchi, remington, lapua, S&B, wolf yellow box, and the coveted yugo surplus m67. Additionally SOME of the red army standard x39 ammo is non-magnetic but not all of it as I understand.

Beyond that you're pretty much left with stuff imported from former soviet nations and AFAIK all of that stuff is magnetic. *edit* I've also got some odd lots of stuff from egypt and china which(of course) is also no-go.

It pays to carry a magnet around. I've come across US made commercial ammo that had a magnetic projectile. Expensive AND useless.

Thank goodness the bay area ranges do not care about magnetic ammo. Only good thing about shooting steel is getting it cheap and blasting away. I feel bad that the ranges in socal have these policies as whats the whole point of shooting x39 or 5.45 if you can't shoot steel for cheap. Reloading is another thing but finding brass cases is hard enough. Over the years ive been reloading ive found about 100 cases of x39 brass. Makes me wonder if I should just get dies for em and reload for better ammo.

Some ammo is also floating around under the name "arsenal" and its not magnetic... also on the inexpensive side.

Prvi is about the least expensive 7.62x39 round that doesn't attract a magnet. Its almost twice the price vs Wolf or Tula but its good ammo and you can shoot it anywhere. If you dont reload, you can always sell your brass to help recoup some of the extra cost.

The cheapest would be steel case and copper jacket ammo. Sgammo has some. The bimetal jacket is what attracts the magnent.
