Dillon case feed question

So...after wrestling with LEE products and cleaning rust off of them, I broke down and bought what I should have from the beginning (what I really wanted), a Dillon 650. The LEE stuff was great though, it let me know whether or not I really did love this as a hobby and I will keep the dies and use my LEE stuff as a back up single stage, perfect. I was setting up the Dillon on my bench (pics soon to come on the bench pics thread, ) and I was installing the case collator/feeder and before I mounted it, I figured I'd plug it in to make sure I understood the mechanics of how the clutch engaged the shell plate. Nothing. I tried 5 different outlets and the case feeder will not spin. This thing is brand new but I'm pretty sure it's broken. Should I contact the seller on ebay? He's a reputable seller and distributor of Dillon products and since I never USED the item and it was broken out of the box it should be replaced. I Dillons warranty is solid but to me its weird that I would have to take advantage of a warranty on a BNIB item. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anything I missed in the set up and install of the case feeder that is (or is not) in the manual to get this thing to spin when plugged in before I mount it up on the support rod? I'm probably gonna try and load today without it, but I cant wait to get the case feeder flowing. Thanks guys.

Make sure the switch that turns off the feeder when the bullets reach the top of the tube is not stuck/jammed.

yeah, I checked that. It moves freely and is at a good angle.

At the bottom of the feed funnel (about 4" from the top), there is a micro switch (#13 on page 4 & 5 of your Casefeed Instruction Manual) that shuts the motor off when the cases are full in the tube. This periodically sticks causing it to shut off. If you are facing it, the micro switch should be pointing down to the left of the tube. If it is pointing to the right, it is stuck. Take a small screw driver and touch it slightly and it will spring to the left and the motor will run. Mine sticks periodically when the cases are feeding. Good luck.

Unplug it. Check the wiring inside. It should look like this (This is from mine):

The switch config should be normally closed config. Pull one of the wires off the micro switch, and test it (contacts 1 & 3) for continuity. If it conducts, its good. If not, then its bad.
If that's the problem, Ive got a big bag of those cherry micro switches (they are softer than normal micro switches). I can send you one if its not covered under any warranty.

OP, I guess you've never diagnosed and repaired for a living. Good troubleshooting manuals will say to install a 'known good part' to test. BNIB is NOT a 'known good part', one you've seen actually work is known good. So you're probably talking a used part in a lot of work...I've had my share of BNIB parts that didn't work. They really make life difficult....But glad to see you tried different outlets, most peeps aren't bright enough to do that.
