Any stores around the Bay Area sells a....

    RCBS Rockchucker Primer catch tray?

I need to send my single stage Lee back, so in the mean time, I mounted my old Rockchucker.

I forgot how this thing would throw spent primers everywhere. Yes, I've seen most of the home brewed gadgets.

Any reloading stores in the Bay Area sells the Primer Catch tray?

Yes, I know I am a Lee and Dillon person, but everyone has an RCBS press lying around for those emergencies right?

You might wanna try these guys in Dublin - they have RCBS reloading accessories in stock - give 'em a call and see if they have what you're looking for.

I just looked in my junk drawer. I have an extra - are you in the East Bay, by chance?

Thanks guys. I will call those places.

Yes, I could ask RCBS for one, or order one, but I want one now.

If I am going to order one, Huntington Dies has the cast aluminum ones.

@ bigbossman...thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it if I can't buy one locally. Not in the East Bay, but not far from there.

Since Bigtwin asked...it's a Challenger press that's at least 30 years old and I was doing some major decapping, then resizing of some OFV M80 .308 brass.
Got one brass stuck, with the rim intact to the shell holder. Yes, I know I could've done it the easy way, but I decided to use a big wrench and unscrew the die out.
That alone slightly damaged the threads in the press. And not to mention my new looking RCBS dies are no longer new looking.

After cleaning and putting everything back together, about 50 pieces in, I got another brass stuck. I pulled out the RCBS stuck brass remover.

So now with the threads damaged, I called Lee and they told me that with a 30 year old press, they don't have any way of refurbishing the press, but I can take advantage of the, return a press and get half off on another one. So my faithful Challenger press is going back and I'll choose the heavy duty Classic Press for half off.

ha. I'm San Jose, I was about to make the same offer.

The primers still end up everywhere. they fall right into the primer tray and bounce out onto the floor. That's what happened here anyways.

So yeah, you can have it! I bought a hollow ram press, problem solved. Just let me know if you are in SJ and want it.
