    30-30 ftx and lvr

Doing my first loads of 30-30 with these 160gr ftx bullets. Ill be going to burro canyon tomorrow to shoot em up.
i currently started from 34 to 35.5 which is hogdon max. I thought i read hornady has 36gr max? I dont have a book with ftx bullets, and cant find any other data online.

What do you guys load em at with this combo?

Always safest to start out with the min loading and working up from there. Look for pressure signs as you go up, if you see flattend primers, have hard extractions... stop and back off. Back your load off a grain or two to be on the safe side.

Hornady doesn't list them on their website? Try www.loadswap.com they have thousands of loads for different bullets.

35gr and up, the groups started to spread, and quite a bit. Havent seen changes so drastic before.
