Help IDing some old bullets. .30 cal or not!

Need some helped identifying some bullets. They mic between .308 and .309 and on the caliper come in at 7.85mm and .3085. Thx for any help.

They are 150 grain and at first thought they were .30 cal. Not so sure now.

Yes I know .30 cal is .308. These are coming in at .3085. Asking for help determining what caliber they may be.

perhaps you are using a caliper and not a mic -
3085 is not out of the realm of manufacturing tolerances -

I used both a Micrometer and a caliper to provide the info.

The caliber would be .308. The Cartridge they were intended for could be 7.5 Swiss, 30-30, .308win, 30-06 or any number of other cartridges which fire a .308 caliber bullet.

the 5 on the end could be a bit of dust in the calipers. most people i have seen don't measure past thousandths of an inch.

run of the mill 150 grain, .308 diameter softpoints. load em in whatever strikes your fancy.
