I would go RCBS Chargemaster Combo, but if you want just a scale get a GemPro 250.

I like the RCBS Chargemaster combo, though it is more than your price range. I also haven't had any issues with the PACT scales I've used and the GemPro 250 others have mentioned looks like a good option.

Either way you go, I would always suggest having an analog backup scale, such as a 5-0-5, for checking/comparing.

I have a RCBS 5-0-5 for backup as well.

Great way to verify your electronic scale because gravity and physics don't lie!

I like the RCBS charge master. Mine broke a few years after the warranty expired and RCBS charged me ~50% of the cost for a replacement. The replacement has been going strong for 5+ years.

When I use the charge aster, it takes me 40-60 sec to load a cartridge, so I use it more for automated weighing of powder for precision shooting.

40-60 seconds of dispense time? Mine was heinously slow too over 20grn, but RCBS gave me some parameters and now it's super quick.

It dispenses 24gr in ~30 s, but I found I need to wait ~10 sec to ensure a stable reading. Then transfer powder and seat bullet. Balance is level and there are no drafts.

Usually the first reading after the beep is correct, but sometimes it is 0.4 gr or more over the set point.
I only use it for rifle cartridges (24 - 48 gr)

How fast is your powder dispensing?

Gempro250, out of all the scales out there who else has a LIFETIME warranty? Nuff said.

Tanita is top of the line.

The gem pro you got will do just fine for reloading though.

Isn't that what we're talking about here, reloading? Why bother spending more than $250 with a lifetime warranty, can't beat that.
