Wow was that at 100 yards? Nearly 1/2 moa from a piston/5.56 chambered autoloader is pretty spectacular. That would be the most accurate Sig 556 I've seen or heard about.

Yes 100 yards at yolo. I was using a sled and hand feeding them. These were three shot groups. Once I find a load I like ill start doing 5 shot groups and see what she does. Before hand loads best I had gotten was around 1.25.

Makes sense...would be interesting to see what difference in group size would result (if any) from feeding them from the mag. Please post results if you end up doing that, I'd sure be interested in seeing how it turns out.

Not sure if it was a flyer or the barrel heated up. But your right I should try that load again.

Empty I use a homemade brass catcher and if I put it to close the brass bounce off the net instead of going in.
