    rifle powder question

Is there a powder that will be able to load

    308 nato 5.56 nato and 30-06.

I am not a marks man and am not looking for match grade ammo, just pinking rounds. I'd like to find a powder that I can use in all 3 calibers. Off the top of your guys heads know of such an animal?

Yup, Jeff213 hit the nail on the head with his choices. I agree with all of them. Only one I'll add is AA2520

            Varget
            IMR4895
            IMR 4064
Will handle all three. I weight each round for .308 and
30-06. I tend to use the IMRs listed for those. Varget meters so well I will use that in a powder drop on the progressive for .223

I thought about including 4064 but left it out because i wouldnt use it for. 223 personally unless in a real pinch for powder because of the long grains poor metering and flow issues

3031 or 4320 are also acceptable

I had good results with IMR4895 in 223 and 308, especially heavy bullets (69 grains and heavier) for 223.

BL-C(2), H335. Great accuracy with both.

I've used IMR 4064 in 223 before, didn't like it. Loads were compressed a.d had to jiggle cases to get powder level down for bullet seating. It does work awesome in 308 and 30-06.

I'm glad Maxx03 mentioned BLC-2, I completely forgot about it. It does work e exceptionally well in all three calibers.

Id suggest re 15 or hogdon 4895. 4895 has a variety of odd calibers and common calibers load data. Very versatile if you an all in one powder. Always remember there really isnt an all in one powder. Each powder has a different taste when it comes to every rifle.
