Feedback on Lee Classic Turret for 9mm?

Great value for the money. Not the best press but a perfect starter. I still use mine after dozens of thousands of rounds, both rifle and pistol. -
It's what I use also. I load 9mm, .45 and .223. Been great for me since 2006.Comment

I love my LCT. I've had it since Christmas, and I've loaded around 5k of 9mm and 1k of .223 with no problems.
I'm starting to shoot more 9mm than the LCT can keep up with, so I'm thinking about getting a progressive press in the next couple of months. But if you're only shooting a few hundred rounds a month, I think it's perfect.Comment

Thanks All! I try to get out and shoot 50 to 100 rounds a week. Sold my Ruger P95 and bought Gen 4 Glock 17, 19,& 26 so plan on shooting a lot more 9mm. What powders have you run through your Lee Pro Measures, any issues?
What do you do about case lube for 300BLK and 223?
Cheers,

I've been using one for a little over a year to do 9mm and it's great. It would be faster to get a progressive someday but I load a lot of calibers, some of them weird, so I'll probably always use the turret press (plus it can act as a single stage which is handy if you're doing things like bullet sizing or recapping a bunch of rounds).
Keeping up with 50-100 rounds a week isn't any big deal. My "match grade" 9mm rounds (just means extra weighing and case gauging) I do about 150/hour. I find if I do more than about 200 in a session I start getting bored/distracted, which obviously isn't a good thing, but if you did maybe two sessions a month you would be in great shape.
The only issue I've had in terms of powders is that while the Lee auto measure thingie will meter everything very nicely it does tend to leak a bit with very fine powders. If you're using H110 for 300 BLK don't be shocked if you end up with a little bit of it scattering out of the back of the powder measure now and again. It's not a big deal but it's something to be aware of as a possibility.Comment

I have one and it's setup for 9mm and 45acp. The Powder Measure works pretty well, dependent on the powder you use. I found Titegroup to be somewhat inconsistent but the new CFE Pistol meters fairly well. I usually check my powder charge after 5-10 rounds with Titegroup but with CFE Pistol, I check after 20 rounds. I havent had any issues other than that. Overall, since Im new to reloading, the Classic Turret Press works great. Next up is 223 Rem for my rifle but still trying to figure out how I can get an RCBS Swager Die setup on the press.BCM*RIA*M&PComment

LCTP used for .38 Spl, .45 Colt, and .45 ACP. Also a few rifle reloads. Not as fast as a progressive press, but it works well and is newbie/user-friendly.
If I were allowed to have only one press, it'd be this one. It's got acceptable speed, ease of use, reasonable cost for what you get (i. e. good value), and versatility of rounds it can load."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

The LCT is a great press. One "doodad" you should have on your initial list is the adjustable charge bar for the pro auto-disk unit. It is a $10 to $15 investment that will greatly reduce set up time, enhance the consistency/accuracy of the charges, and provide greater charge weight "flexibility" of the pro auto disk unit.
Unique powder is widely known to be a bit problematic on the pro auto-disk unit. The adjustable charge bar helps with this issue, but only so much-the rest is technique driven. So be patient and keep the scale handy. With unique, you'll need it.Tire kickers gonna kick,

I love my Lee Classic Turret, BUT I have never had good luck metering Unique with it. Power Pistol, Bullseye, VVN320, or Titegroup all meter very well. I would recommend a Classic to any reloader, but would they shy away from Unique. YMMVIf you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment

I also have 4# of Bullseye, 2# of Power Pistol, and 1# of CFE Pistol on the shelf so may switch to the Bullseye with this semi progressive. What Bullseye loads are you all using with 115gr xTreme 9mm bullets in 9mm?
