Dillon 650 and low charge weights?

I'm thinking about getting a 650 to load 9mm. My current pet load is 3.0-3.2gr of Titegroup. I had trouble getting my Lee Pro Auto Disk to dispense such a low charge accurately, and I'm worried I'll see the same thing with the Dillon.

Will the Dillon powder measure work well with such a small volume of powder?

I believe they have a special small powder bar you can buy. When I run my 9mm, I go with 4.0-4.1 grains of titegroup and is very consistent.

I have a 650 and fill 4.0 gr often with about 0.1 repeatability with Titegroup. It meters well. Use the small powder bar, polish the inside of the bar, and give the handle and extra tap at the bottom of the stroke.

Yep my Dillon 650 is good to 0.1 so 9mm should be no problem.

Didn't even knew they made a small powder bar but never had more of a .1 variation (once up and running) on my powder puff .380 or 9mm loads. The hopper does like to stay at least 1/2 full although. Had some bridging when it got low one time.

Not a problem. Works fine with the small powder bar.

I usually have about up to a 0.15gr variance with the small powder bar, but I don't do max loads for 9mm so it isn't an issue.

FWIW my Dillon 550 doesn't do well with charges that low using VV N320. I get real inconsistent charges, but at 4.0gr I get very consistent loads. That's one reason I don't shoot 147gr bullets. But N320 is a small stick powder and is probably bridging in the small gap needed for that load. I use the standard pistol powder bar.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

Your 650 will come with the small powder bar when you order it in 9mm, or any pistol caliber. You would only need to change if it was originally for a rifle setup. TiteGroup meters very well, and you should expect +/-.1 grains variance.

You shouldn't have any problems. You will love the Dillon compared to your Lee.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. I'm shooting north of 1500 rounds a month, and I really don't have a ton of spare time to reload, so I think it's really going to help.
