Looks there have been a rash of pierced primer threads lately..... result of bad primers or improperly loaded ammo at the factory or out of spec AR parts (bolts and/or firing pins)??

Winchester primers are known for this when used in a AR. I have not experienced it with other brands such as CCI or Remington.Looking for RPR or Precision Rifle Accessories? Check out Anarchy Outdoors. http://www.anarchyoutdoors.com?afmc=1w -
Is there anywhere any of you can think of that has specs for firing pin holes so that people can check theirs? I'm not sure if they should vary between caliber or MFG but it would help if someone has that info available. I saw someone posted the the pin hole for an AR should be .058-.060 I believe.
I had some problems with Federal 223 gold medal several months ago in my Savage and never did figure out what was happening. No other pressure signs from them other than the cratered or pierced primers. Any one else having issues with specific brands?Comment
