Hornady Critical Duty Ammo Recall - 9mm +P

    Critical Duty Recall - Lot # 3141635

We use this ammo. I am in the habit of keeping the boxes, and just checked our lot numbers here. All three boxes of this were from lot #313xxxx so we are ok here. If you use this ammo please check it. If you cannot identify your lot number call Hornady - I'm sure they would rather replace a few rounds than to have a gun repair or medical bill to pay.

Gotta love the irony in shipping out a product labeled 'critical duty' with no powder charge in it

So much for factory ammo being better than reloads.

          Final bump for safety notice.

Hornady is generally great stuff and this recall hasn't changed my mind about Critical Duty as my premium defensive ammo choice.

I think that anything meant for self defense should be handloaded on a single stage press.
