all of a sudden, im in love with the Lee Cutter Tool...

So I went with and have been using a bench top case trimmer and although very precise, it is a long process, or at least for me that is. You have to contend with some cases that stick, my finger hurts trying to loosen and tighten the case holder thingy and I was just about fed up with it. That said, it is still my go to for my precision loading and I do not think that will change.

I then went with a WFT2 trimmer and I love this thing, but i didnt know that I need a 1/2" chuck drill to use it and borrowing the one from work only works if I can remember to bring it home for the weekend or overnight.

That being said, I had the Lee Cutter Tool with the Lock Stud and now, I find myself using this more often for the bulk .223, .308 stuff and hell....its giving me VERY good results and is cutting them very consistently.

Anyone have this same experience and go back to the cheapo ways of reloading?

Once I get my own 1/2" drill, the WFT2 will be my go-to though for speed. I have 2 paint buckets full of brass and 2K of 55gr FMJ that I need to load up on a single stage....yea, you read right...a SINGLE STAGE!

I have one and hated it, but I was trying to use it for a final trim on 300 Blackout cases. I'm not going to add to it, I prefer the other goofy Lee case trimmer. That one seems to work well for me.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

I like it, but I dont process more than 100-200 at a time.. Thinking about getting that adapter to attach it to my Lyman case prep center.

Spinning the case is also the only way to make the Lee debur/chamfer tool work at all. Hand twisting it (like you do with the RCBS and Hornady tools) was worthless. When spinning the case in a drill or their wind up tool, the tool deburs and chamfers quite well.

The Lee tool cuts cases above the listed cut to length. Cuts .223 to 1.755.

I spin my brass in a drill, but i still always chafer and deburr. i didnt do this one time and was getting hard seating due to my brass shaving the copper jacket off the bullet.

Mine is cutting to 1.750-1.755 consistently. These are going in my ARs and these are chambering well as my max length is 1.760". Hopefully, they dont stretch all that much so I at least get a couple/few firings before having to trim again

I like Lee stuff. I like the Lee cutter mentioned by the OP. I have recently switched to a Lee Zip Trim. I like it also. I tried the universal jaws for the Zip Trim but couldn't grow fond of it. If anyone has a Zip Trim and would like to try a universal jaw I would be willing to ship it to them so they could try it before they spend money on it.

              Long live Lee.

Yeah, they work, and they're cheap, and the results seem reasonably consistent. Hard to complain too much as long as you understand any limitations (no adjustability).

Try crimping your reloads and you'll see why different length brass is a problem. You should trim all of it to the same length for accuracy too.

Lee lock stud with ball trimmer on a hand held battery drill or this thing http://www.midwayusa.com/product/352...vc=sugv1352653 on that funky zip trimmer thing.

Good enough stuff for me I can't see why people spend so much on the other types, I like to save my money for powder and primers. I also use single stage but I have three of them

Have one, hate it, got a giraud trimmer on order. Will take me 3 hours to trim all my .223 brass with it instead of the 31 hours it would take with the Lee

I have one, I will never use it again. I use my possum hollow case trimmer and can trim (not chamfer and debur) 500 pieces of brass in 45 minutes.

They adjust fine. You have a couple options. #1, use Loctite to raise the pin out. #2, put washers (like paper) between the cutter and pin to raise the pin.

Or cut the pin down if you need it shorter. Grinder works best.

Onc eyou get it adjusted for you gun, leave it be. The cutters are so cheap (and you can find them everywhere at gun shows, garage sales, craigslist, midway, etc) you can run one per cartridge you shoot.

The Lee case length gauges and ball handle cutters work great. The big downside though is your hands really cramp up after doing a couple hundred or so. I recently switched to the Trim It and once it is properly adjusted, you can crank through the case trimming without having your hands hurt and it cuts so clean I haven't had to chamfer or debur (yet). It fits a 3/8 drill so it will work with most drills out there. I will still keep my Lee case length gauges and cutter though for the small jobs.
