Super 1050 caliber compatibility question

Here's my situation. I'm getting a super 1050 to load 30.06, 308 and 45acp.

My understanding so far is that the shell plate and pins should not need to change, priming and swaging should stay the same. So all I should needed is rifle and pistol case feeder plate and dies right?

Am I on the right track? Also which of the three would be the most advantageous to buy the press in? Or it doesn't matter?

I already have two quick change kits and a 308 conversion (which I might not need). Is there anything I'm missing?

To stay large primer I'm thinking about adding 10mm to the mix muaahahaha. This is going to be awesome! Thanks for your help guys.

i would get 3 tool heads then all you need is the plates for the case feeder and the corresponding pieces to feed the brass

Have you had a chance to read Darkmod's opinion of the 1050? He bought one at the same as a 650, worth reading if you haven't.

I think I have read his review. It's with a 650, hornady and a 1050 right? I didn't find his experiences to be on par with my experiences. But I've used 650's and had one, used a 1050 and want one, well want two! Haaaha

I love my 1050. there is a little bit of a learning curve some tips and tricks but when you get it all dialed in its amaizing

Wouldn't bother with 3 toolheads, Only time I swap toolheads is to use the modified head to make 300blk brass otherwise I use Hornady lock rings, would hate to deal with 12 toolheads.

Got to agree with Dooder , and if your taking 30 minutes to change the 1050 over something in wrong it's a 10 minute max job. as to learning curve it's a much simpler press then the 650 to set up or change over
