    Reloading .223: How many nodes between Min/Max loads

    I'm thinking of re-doing my ladder tests starting with .223/5.56. I'm loading for a 16" AR with a 1/7 twist using Hornady 55 gr .22 cal FMJ-BT w/c bullets and H335 powder. The Hornady guide lists Min/Max loadings for H335 as 20.8/26.4 gr. My question is: How many accuracy/velocity nodes should I expect to find between the published Min/Max loads?

    Last time I did this I only found one clear node at ~25.0-25.3 gr, but I think that may have been my poor marksmanship skills and there may be more.

    load and shoot.its either going to work ,or not work.if a lesser skill level is involved,testing wont make a difference!

      There are in general two nodes in a given safe loading window.

          Thanks guys, just what I needed to know.

          I thought there must be at least one more and now I'm guessing the other one will be closer to the low end.

            Try shooting off of a rest or at least use sandbags when testing new loads. This will help eliminate the human error.
