question about dies?

I have a lee single stage press for my .416 barrett, the dies are size 1 1/4 - 12, my question is will a RCBS die fit in the press if it is 1 1/2 - 12?

1-1/2 x 12 =/= 1-1/4 x 12.

These are thread sizes. A thread that's 1-1/2"-12 is one quarter inch larger in diameter than a thread that's 1-1/4"-12. So the answer is, no. Unless your press uses interchangeable die adapters, can accommodate a 1-1/2" sized adapter, and one is available in that size.

No. Lee thinks they are special and makes their press/dies for 50BMG based cartridges an odd size compared to other manufactures. Maybe because they save $.50 of metal by having smaller dies??
