    Problem FL resizing .223

I'm using a Dillon .223 FL resizing die on my Lee Turret Press and the rim of my resized brass is sticking out .011 above the max length line on my Lyman case gauge. I have tried turning the die in quite a bit further and have also cleaned the die/lubed the expander ball and the problem has not gone away. Is it possible that my #10 RCBS shell holders (I've have two and have tried them both) have too much play in them? Inserted cases have a little bit of vertical play and to me it looks to be about the same amount as the rim of the case is protruding from the case gauge.

pretty sure you have to trim the brass when using those dies i only think the x-die resizes without needing to trim

Did you adjust the sizing die to touch the shell holder?

That step is after the resize. The problem is that the shoulder isn't getting bumped back quite far enough.

I haven't been able to find any dry neck lube but I did lube the expander ball.

Looks like I fixed the problem. The way I had my press temporarily mounted seems to have been the issue. There was too much flex. I'll have to go get some bolts and 6x9's tomorrow and mount it more permanent. Thanks for the suggestions.
