I will say it seems to be the most conservative of the lot.
Many times, their max load is on the lower side of other manuals.
Take a look at .308 with 165g or 168g hpbt bullets over IMR4895
As I mentioned in the beginning, I do have the Sierra and LEE books. As for 7.5X55 Swiss I have loaded my share with IMR 4895. Varget is I believe, giving me better results at the range. In fact, I had been using the 168gr Sierra HPBT but, the Hornady has been really good. If you have a chance, look at that idee-biddy hole on those two bullets and compare. Sierra is rough and Hornady looks perfect. Anyway, that is what I have experienced.

For sure I'll check out the Hornady book. Thanks!

At least 36 manuals have Swiss data according tot the Internet Reloading Manual Index. Row 1894 (numbers on the far left) - Manuals go off to the right in alphabetical order.

        Good Luck,
        Criss

PS .38 Short Colt is in 12 manuals listed in row 1086, but I just use the Trail Boss data from the Hodgdon/IMR website.

One of the numerous reasons why I don't like Lyman's 49th...
