Ya i figured 60-80 bucks per 1k brass but sounds like alot of effort. I posted in the ammo / reloading section and few bites...

Just as a reference, I paid $470 for 5,000 once fired Lake City that had been tumbled, deprimed, and swaged from brassbombers. They sell 1k unprocessed for $80

To my dismay, I have found that many pieces aren't swaged 'enough' and the CCI 41 primers are a very tight fit. I have been forced to reswage them w/ my Dillon swager, trying to do batches of 200 here and there.

thats why i am selling i dont want to reload... $60 bucks per 1k and someone else problem would be nice but the effort to sell seems like alot. if a company is offering around 3 bucks per pound or more just to drop it all off i would do that.

Was brass barely swaged to begin with? Did the crimp look like it had been cut or reformed into the primer pocket.

So you have approximately 29,000 5.56 brass? Maybe sell it to one of the brass processors here on CGN?

In the Bay Area its $1-1.50 per pound.

$600 scrap vs $1740 once fired, the difference seems worth the effort.

Or maybe blow it out for $35/1k.

Honestly, the going price is around $45/k.

But the scrap yard is about $1.50/pd which is significantly less. If you really want to move it, post it at good price and you will get the hits.

It was definitely swaged & not reamed. On the other hand, i'd rather have crimps under swaged than over, so not the end of the world. Just a lil irritating b/c I paid the extra money to not have to swage this much brass

I'm in for 1k. Or hell if you don't want to go thru the hassle of shipping it etc. Bring it by my shop (not a gun shop) or I'll pick it up from you and I'll sell it for you, ship it, etc. I run a vw parts store and ship out tons of boxes a month, so a few more isn't gonna kill me. Then we can settle up and you will still be money ahead
