Brass Processing Services???

Anyone know anyone who provides a 38 special processing service?

I am thinking of sending my 45 and 223 brass to Danny Henry, but he doesn't do 38.

No, I am not lazy. I work 6 days a week and Saturday afternoons and Sundays are the only free time I get and I'd rather shoot than process brass.

You're better off to tumble before depriming, so you don't get media stuck in the primer pocket. What kind of press are you using?

Somebody makes an oversize tumbler, so you can do a crapload of brass at a time. If you got the room for it..

Don't normally process brass but if you can't find anyone else, I can do it. Just a tumble and decap? Probably could go $20 per case (K) and flat rate box shipping. 3K should fit in a FRB. Next day processing. Depending on workload, I could have it ship back out the same day.

Don't mean to muddy this thread, but I was going through freakshow's feedback and I asked him, given his feedback, if he has the equipment to process the brass and I told him I was apprehensive. I don't think that it was out of line given his feedback here and elsewhere on the Internet.

Here is the response I got

You want something done that no one else seems to be willing to do.

I offer my services since no one else has, yet these other guys are bound to have a tumbler and a universal decapping die at the bare minimum and refuse to step up to help someone out and maybe get lunch money for an hour's worth of tinkering around.

You get cold feet. I say find someone else.

You either trust me or you don't. Didn't look like you did, seeing as you were questioning me. I'm not going to waste my time telling you something you won't believe anyway. What's the point?

Man, what a way to crud up my old thread...

Anyhow, for straight walled stuff, just dump it in a tumbler and leave the thing on all night. I'm lazy, and even i do that. If you're not too concerned about looks, usually you can just load it dirty. It's not exactly the cleanest or most precision product around, but it still goes bang. When it gets too long, i'd just recycle it - trimming is a hassle without some kinda power trimmer.

The real purpose of looking for some one to process brass is for bottle necked stuff that you have to worry about case length and trimming it back. You also have to deal with lubricating cases -- both of which are a hassle if you're not well equipped with hardware or time. A few guys in this thread have offered to size, decap, tumble, lube, trim, and swage for reasonable prices. CSA returned the most gorgeous brass to me. It was so shiny when it came back that it was like opening up a treasure chest of gold.
