Dented case question

I just bought some Federal Preium Vital shok in .30-06 with barnes triple shock x bullets. About half of the cases have noticable dings and dents in the cases.

My question is, will it cause and issues in my semi auto?
And should i call and complain, because I expect alot more for $48 a box...

I'm also very unimpressed with the bullet uniformity. The hollow point tips seem almost unfinished.

I cant belive anyone would call that acceptable ? Maybe i have been reloading to long , If that were my reloads I would only use that as barrel fouling shots . I just cant see those shooting to my standards . the dent in the case is a pretty minor detail but still should not be there ,the smashed hollow points however are unacceptable .
I would contact the manufature and have them replace them .

Those don't look right...certainly not factory fresh. At $40+ a box, you should take them back.

I've had new factory brass that was dented before and they functioned fine...

Those tips were deform by the bullet seater stem at Federal. The box of .30 cal TSX in front of me all have uniform tips. I'm glad I got all my reloading stuff two years ago and stocked on Barnes bullets. If I had known what the price of bullets are today compared to 2 years ago, I would had stocked more and invested into some.

.093 for 43 grains of RL-15
.54 for 180 .30 cal TSX
.022 for 210M primer
Free brass
.66 cent/shot lead free ammo for hunting season. Comes out to about $13.10 for a box of 20.

My reloading setup for 6.8 SPC, .308, .300 win mag, .40 sw, .45 acp, 12gauge 3 1/2" have all payed for itself including shipping and hazmat. Now whatever I load is pure savings over factory. Your mileage will differ depending volume and type of calibers you shoot. For some its not worth it for some it is.
