    Xtreme Bullets .30Cal .308 bullets

I saw quite a bit of discussion about the Xtreme Bullets .308 loads and the mass confusion about them. I had some Accurate 2495 powder and could not find load data for it so I called Western Powders and am working with them to get load data developed for this bullet. I have sent them 100 bullets to get data developed for the .308 rifle. Once I get the official load data I will share it with those who are interested. Let me know if there is interest in this information please.

Cool, I use their .308fp in my 30-30 loads and they work great.

What type of gun? I wouldn't mind using it for 300aac...

The load data I asked them for is for the .308 winchester cartridge. They may add other .30 Cal cartridges I will have to wait and see what they come up with.

I bought some and I think they might be more trouble to work with. I'm thinking about selling them if you're interested

Yes, trail boss is a magical substance. However, there are other options. For example, the 10gr unique load has been shot for years. It's for cast bullets, but plated lead should be the same. Unique was actually developed specifically as a "gallery round" powder. Red dot is a popular reduced load powder as is 2400. Blue dot works well too.

How would you load one of those powders? Certainly google for some ideas. But you can usually start around 10gr for most of those powders. Then work up slowly. Bullseye you could go down below. I'm wondering myself about some of the more recent to the scene powers like power pistol. Should work well too.

Anyways there are other options besides trail boss.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Those are all good ideas for 30-30 applications but this thread was started for .308 applications. This is also to help those who are looking for an actually tested load for the accurate 2495 powder. I am unsure if they will test some of their other powders with the Xtreme Bullets as well but one can hope.

Don't know about the 308 but the 300aac I've tested I'm able to do all kinds of powder through it. If it's for a bolt I'm sure you can do some reduce loads for the 308 to keep it from leading....but then again, don't do it if your not comfortable with the idea of using unpublished data.

That is why I am having western powders lab test loads for me. I will hopefully get the results soon to share with eveyone.

They have a lab to test your loads?

No but the will create test load data. They will run their test loads and let me know the final load information I assume.
