Help!!! Need Powder

I'm heading up to Reno from the bayarea for the weekend. Are there any shops along the way or near reno where I can pickup some powder? I'm looking for either longshot or power pistol.

Cabela's or Scheels come to mind obviously, there is at least one place in the Roseville area that I have always wanted to check out... I drive by them all 5 nights a week but nothing is ever open when I pass.

2nd on Cabelas. Try checking on the return trip as well, I used to make stops there a few years ago and would pick up all the powder I needed…lately, no luck.
In the last year, Scheels has not had powder on my visits…I do stock up on primers though to avoid hazmat fees.

I was able to get some primers at sportsman's warehouse in redding but no luck on powder. Hopefully I'll get luck at Cabelas.

I was at Scheels yesterday and they had no true pistol powder. They did have some 700x and 800x which i've heard of people loading for pistol recently. 2# max on all powders too.

If you go, there is a list of what is in stock on the shelf across from the empty canisters.

No .22 ammo either.

Call em and double check. They have so many sales people walking around doing not much, i'm sure somebody could check for you before driving to Sparks.

Call and check Gun Range off of Watt and i-80, they usually have some powders, mostly Rifle powders, barely to none pistol powders,

I was at the gun range earlier in the week. Picked up 2 pounds of power pistol, 2# unique, 1# benchmark. They had a lot of other stuff on the shelf, and said they had a lot more of what I bought in the back. Tons of primers too. Tons of bullets. I was really surprised just how well stocked they were.

22-27 per pound too, which is pretty cheap these days.

Picking are just as slim in NV as they are here. It's hit or miss and all the same tactics come into play. Call around, be the first to come in when they open. I was in Reno a few months ago for the last gun show and called around to all the smaller shops. None had powder and most didn't even stock it to compete with sheels and cabellas.
Places are getting it in, but it's sporadic at best.
I've had good luck just stopping in to local places as in driving around for work. I pickup a lbs or two every couple weeks.

Just got back from sheels and sportsmans warehouse, no luck on the powder but I did pickup a box of 180gr xtp bullets.

I will stop by cabelas and the gun range on my way home tomorrow.

Was in Prescott Az for a match last week so stopped in at some gun shops. Accurate #5 as going for $25=tax/lb. We're talking N320 prices for a slow pistol powder

Use Google/Bing maps, search for gun shops around your current location as you travel, then call the shops that are listed.

Or just look at your route on map, and search for gun stores along your route, and then make a list of stores and call them.
