And now we know why shortages and price spikes happen.
    Keep it simple!

When will people run out of money? There have been 2 major panic buying events in the last 5 years. .22lr and gun powder still hasn't recovered since the last one. At some point, people must stop buying guns/supplies. I know I've bought what I want in the last 5 years and wont buy anymore guns in california. Ammo and supplies I've started buying 2 years worth at a time so I can weather the storms that arise.
I don't think it will be a problem unless there is some new legislation that shakes people who still feel unprepared. There has already been some of that since that event, but nothing to buy/ prepare for since it targets mental health rather than the guns themselves.

Its always a good idea to buy whatever components you can, but don't go into debt, doing it. at least not yet.

Why do you think powders and primers are going to go through the roof as a direct result of Isla Vista? I can see why they'd go through the roof due to people buying a tons because of events like Isla Vista.

I don't know what primers are going for these days, so I can't comment if you got a good deal.

Panic buying in general is a bad idea. Unless you are trying to justify a large purchase, that really is a good deal, to yourself.

I see no reason to panic

Supplies are becoming more available ... Heck ... I am even seeing .22LR becoming more available.

I guess I am not too worried since I still have a fair amount of stock of stuff from the purchases I made up to 2011 time frame.

I actually placed an order with both Graf's and MidwayUSA for some bricks of .22LR. The prices were really good too. I think $35 / brick for the Aguila Super Extra is not a bad price ... Also, $56 / brick, with a two(2) brick limit for SKJAGD is not too shabby either.

You may be right but I highly doubt we'll see anything but a blip on the screen of the overall picture. $37 is what we pay after tax up in Sac for primers.

In kalifornia there's always an assault on our liberties regardless what happens. They won't be happy until everything is banned and confiscated. Events will not dictate their attempts at tyranny. They will always pursue to turn us all into slaves. They know no limits to their evil intentions.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Only if more panic. If they go through the roof it will be our own doing, not Sacramento's. They'll just sit back and chuckle over how easily our strings can be pulled. There is nothing on the floor to restrict components.

Three were killed with a knife. I watched a seven minute video clip and he was a freaking nut case. I think the legislation is going to go after tougher background checks. It never crossed my mind to go buy more of anything.

Oh, they're going after more than background checks, but not components, not this year at least.

Or as the former Obama White House chief of staff and current anti-firearms mayor of Chicago once said:

You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.
