    Got my first press

    A lee deluxe kit from another calgunner. Looking forward to learning a lot and pestering y'all with lots if questions!

          I would suggest hand priming at first. The priming system on Lee presses is a nightmare, from what I have read. Plus, it's always better to go slow and check and double check each step at first.

            I use the Lee AutoprimeXR that came with Lee Challenger Single Stage Press Kit. Very simple to use.

                      Except for the occasional miss between the primer arm and the primer ram, where one falls into the bottomless pit where the spent primers go. I never had any problem with that system.
                      You prime, drop the ram and set it.
                      I hated the mess from depriming. So I stuffed a rag in the primer catch and deprimed off press on a single stage.

                        Congrats, I bought the deluxe kit new a while back. Need to get the press mounted but just barely found some over priced powder last week. Once my midway order shows up around Tuesday ill ne ready to roll some .45

                            He's right. Stock up when possible, you never know when the next shortage will be.
