    Bullet feeder prob.

Hi all, I run the $27 bullet feeder on my LnL ap. The .40cal die works great, but my feeder die in 45 acp wants to drop bullets all over the place...too easily.
I'm sure it's an adjustment, but I don't know where to start.
If you've had this problem and were able to correct it, I would really appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    OG

I have all but given up on the Hornady .45 bullet feeder. Mostly for the same issues. If I think the Xtreme bullets are too soft for it.

I was having the same problem. It drove me crazy.
Finally I had nothing to lose so I bent the collet flanges in a little.
Use pliers and squeeze 2 flanges at a time in to the center until you feel the metal bend. Then the other 2.
The collet will grab the bullets a little more but the case will still expand the collet enough to let one drop.
      Mine works fine now.
      Good luck.

        ^^+1

Slowly work in the collet. I had to adjust mine when I switched from using berrys to xtreme.

          Is that the "A" collet?

Yes the "A" collet. Don't get crazy. The metal will spring, then just a little more force and you will feel the flanges bend. Just remember you can't go back.
Then again what do you have to lose?
