    Newbie seeking assistance

    Hi All,

I am going to start reloading and have picked the press/kit I am going to purchase and am looking forward to developing some loads for my hunting rifles. To be honest, I am a bit nervous about reloading without some guidance. I was wondering if there is anyone in San Francisco or Lake County (CA) who would be willing let me watch some reloading, ask some questions and pick up some tips before I start out on my own.

    Thanks in advance.

If you want to drive down to the Modesto area(1 hour) I will help you out. Bring your stuff and I will help you set it up and use it.
I can also help you find out what items you NEED and what are nice to have. Then there are ones not needed.
PM me if you want some help

              Next best thing

I did the next best thing. I went out and purchased the Beginning Rifle Reloading DVD from Sierra. They show you step-by-step, how to use the gear. It is very good. I watched it at least 2-3 times before I got started.

I also went out and purchased Beyond the Basics High Power Rifle DVD. This thing is excellent. In this video John Barseness talks about the importance of case trimming, measuring runout and a bunch of other things which will improve accuracy.

Sierra also publishes a beginning handgun reloading DVD. I have not seen this one however.
