    Getting low on powder

Hello Calguns members, I was getting low on w231 and unique powder which I use to reload 45ACP. Can you share where I might be able to find it? I am located in Bay Area.

Lots of Titegroup around. I use that for 9mm, 45acp and 38 spl. Nice, clean burning powder.

Yeah, I have a guy at the range who knows I have some titegroup and don't really care for it and he keeps mentioning he's willing to buy what I have left even though it's opened. I can't imagine it's too easy to find...

Anyway - to answer the original question - you can put in backorders some places (mid south mostly) and you can subscribe to the Powder Valley Facebook feed - usually they give some kind of warning when a shipment comes in. That's about it. You might also tell your friends who reload that you're looking for powder - last time I found some I bought extra and spread it around some. Worst case you can always sell it here.

Which of course brings us to the last option which is the marketplace here - expect to overpay, it's just the reality of the situation.

If youre in the South Bay, check out Sportsman's supply on Camden Ave - LOTS of powders in stock in all types (Varget, 4895, 4064, Titegroup, H110, W296, etc)

Not in the 55 gallon drum size you need. Just 1 pounders here and there.

I even drove to Reno to check out Scheels and Cabelas. Guy at Scheels said they have not had titegroup in over a year.

Hp38 and win 231 are tough. I'm still working on the first lb I got when I stated loading, haven't found anymore yet. It's getting to the point I'll have to really start looking.

I've had 4 & 8 pounders of 231 on backorder with Grafs for over a year now. Luckily I scored 4# of HP38 from Recobs in Nov. This stuff is next to impossible to get.

Since you are in the bay, I'd swing by usi in concord. It's a gun club but I think they'll sell to non members at the club house. I'd also call Antioch armory every week. They seem to get some good stuff in. I've been picking up unique and bullseye for a while now when they get it in.
