Dangit Lane, you beat me to it. What kind of bullets were you testing?
'Tis a secret for now. When the final product is completed and announced, I will do a short write-up here. So far we are still testing. I will be shooting it at Raton at the Spirit of America match and against the Brits, the Aussies, and the Canaucks in the America's Match down there too.

I'll take a large shirt Randall!
    Yeah, me too.
Would love to get out there, but not likely. Have too much ammo to load for SOA. And, the shooters should be too busy to talk to anyone anyhow. The mental part of the game is HUGE - 100% focus on EVERYTHING. Expect to win EVERY stage, and learn from those that you don't.

At 1000 yards, I shot it today (irons, coat, sling, etc) and had right at 9" of vertical spread. Then shot another brand and had 7" of vertical. Now my point. I then pulled the target for someone who took the experimental bullet, shot off a rest at 1000 yards and had about 15" vertical with those bullets, right out of the box. He had also "pointed" the noses of some of the same experimental bullets, and shot the exact same load as before. That is he made a die that closes the points tighter on match bullets. His elevation went to about 6" and the windage was WAY less also, with these "pointed" bullets. Mind you, most people probably would not notice the difference in the two bullets, but on target the difference was DRAMATIC. It just all depends on exactly what you want to do with your rifle!!

I loaded some 454 casull brass with a sierra 240gr jacket hp using h110 & when I told another shooter about it he suggested I download my ammo for my encores but when I did it I started stringing shots vertically instead of in the tight group so I went back to the original powder charges & my group improved. My hobby is hunting so all I want to do is hit the center mass of the animal .My scoped, bedded & tuned 30-06 & 300wm Sakos are extremely accurate at any range I'm comfortable shooting. We had a private range in a private valley and spent many days practicing longer range shooting:300,400 & 500 yards. After we lost the range the practice ended now the ranges I'm a member of are a 100yd & a 200yd so I avoid long shots.
