    Kudos to Lee

On Sunday afternoon I somehow broke the decapping Pin on my Lee .223 sizing Die. I went to Lee's website and found a product return form, downloaded a photo of the broken part. On Monday morning Lee sent me a confirmation and by Thursday afternoon I received a new one in the mail.
I believe the reason it broke was due to the type or brand of cartridge.I have mixed brass and this particular case has Oriental writing on the headstamp

Might've been berdan primed. Buy a couple more decapping pins and keep them handy in case it ever happens again.

Lee equipment is good for reloading and their customer service has been great the three times I had to contact them.

Lee equipment is great stuff to start reloading on. I use a Lee Classic Turret press and used it to learn reloading on and have almost 10K rounds loaded on it. Recently purchased a Hornady L&L AP press for high volume but the Lee is being kept for load development and other low volume work.

Good to hear that. I'm myself a relatively new Lee customer and so far not broken anything yet

Glad to hear they are standing behind their product. I've been quite happy with most of my Lee products (the scale and and chamfer/debur tool aren't that great).

I wish I had thought to send back the one I broke. I just ordered a new one... And I don't blame Lee for my screw up.

It is good to hear that new reloaders are buying Lee products. I have been a reloader since 1975 and bought my first Lee press in 1977. It was a Lee Load-all for 12 gauge shells. I used to hunt a lot of rabbit, dove, pheasant and quail. I still have that machine. About every other year I get it down out of the rafters and load a few boxes. I have 4 other Lee presses. The Classic Turret gets most of the work.

I tell new reloaders that Lee products are a great value. They allow you to get into reloading cheaper. And if you like reloading you can always sell your Lee stuff and get your money back if you want to "upgrade" to another press. I put quotation marks around upgrade because I don't think selling a Classic Turret for something else is necessarily an upgrade.

My original plan was to load on Lee stuff until I could afford a Dillon or equivalent but the Lee stuff ended up doing everything that I want. The deer, pigs, quail, rabbits, etc. that I have taken with my reloads couldn't tell the difference and the gongs that I ring every weekend with my cast bullets sound just as good also.

And I am glad that you had a good experience with Lee customer service. The few times I have used them in 37 years they have been excellent.

Good to hear. I have half a dozen Lee die sets and two Lee presses. So far, all are reliable but nice to know they take care of their customers when things go wrong.
