Just out of curiosity, for all you guys using mixed 223 brass and 55gr bullets, what BLC (2) load have you settled on for plinking rounds?

I don't shoot 55 grain stuff from my rifle.well I do, but I get 4moa accuracy with my 1 in 7 twist barrel.
My accuracy load with that rifle uses BLC 2 with 75 grain hornady BTHP. I get about 1 moa. Can't remember off the top of my head what the load was. Probably around 23.6.
Doesn't really matter what though what my load is. Your rifle will likely be different. Stay away from max loads and your accuracy will likely improve. You should do that anyway with BLC 2 as it is not temp stable. -
For the "Xtreme" 55gr FMJ bulk bullets I use 26.0 grains of BLC2. I haven't done a load for SMK 55gr HPBT yet.

25.5gr using Hornady 55gr FMJ works great for my MP-15 with a 1:8 twist barrel. Found 20.5gr of 2015 with the Xtreme 55gr FMJ works even better and I can save the BL-C2 for the .308!Comment

Ball park is going to be what you'll find in the reloading manuals; but you already knew that!
Most of us aren't going to be experimenting with our face and hands a few inches from the "experiment".
From what I've read, find a bullet that shoots accurately in your gun; then find the powder that gives the best repeatable velocity and accuracy. Need a chronograph to do this....Comment
