One of the most popular USPSA 9mm bullets is the Zero 125gr JHP 38SPL which measures .356 compared to .355

Before the '80s, it was hard to find any 0.355-0.356" bullets, so most reloaders used .38 bullets (and, in many cases, have better accuracy also).
My Hornady reloading manual from the early 80s shows .38 super loads using 125gr .357 JHP and JSP bullets intended for revolvers.

Perfect... It's a short barrel revolver so the accuracy wasn't the greatest but they all shot nice.i just loaded 300 now with the same load data.I was useing a 124 grain bullet but I used 125 grain data.

"124grn bullet but used 125 grn data". Didn't know you could do that. I am not intending to do that but was running low on 9mm bullets and thought I could use the 125grn 38 sp. I had.

You can always use data for a heavier bullet of the same construction.
Do you really think yoru gun can tell a 124gn from a 125gn any way? Hornady often includes all their 121-125gn bullets of 0.355-0.357" in the same data set for 9x19 and .38 Super.

I measured the 124grn fmj 9mm extreme and 125 grn .38 special bulletheads from extreme. On the handheld dial caliper which isn't the most accurate, they were at .355 give or take. They are both round nose flat points and they look identical. I also weighed some and they ran 123.5 to 124.8 grain and most of the 38 stuff was 124.5 grn and above to 125.8. doesn't seem very different.

                    I think this 9mm ammo uses Hornady XTP 38CAL .357 110gr.
Please compare images, I believe these are Identical

I'm thinking to try 10 rounds test load...
                    Hornady XTP 38CAL .357 110gr + LongShot 5.2 (5.0-6.0 for 115 grain)

                      110grn .357 JHP into 9mm : so far NG

                      I made several dummy rounds,

                      Compared 115gr 9mm FMJ vs 110gr .357 JHP into 9mm

Case diameter 0.3780 vs 0.3785, both below SAAMI spec 0.3800
difference is Bullet diameter, 0.355 or 0.357

                      Chamber check, 110gr .357 JHP into 9mm

                      P320 9mm Factory : can go?
                      CZ 75 SP-01 : No Go
                      P320 9mm Bar-Sto : No Go

Several gun will accept this round, but tight chambered barrel will not.
"Atlanta Arms 110 Gr. JHP 9mm ammo" ... where did they get this bullet?
                      0.356 sized before seating?

We'll just give them the 'ol number 6.
