    Elmer Keith's true opus was 41 Magnum. It eliminates the shortcomings of both 44 and 357. My favorite caliber, bar none!!!

      High Pressure..... the reason Freedom arms has 5 holes in the 454 cylinder instead of 6. More armor around each round. Don't know about their standard 45 colt cylinder though.

        The Colt SAA .44 cylinder has thicker walls then, I see...
        I had an "old" vaquero and compared to the "new" one, it was a giant billet of steel... I wouldn't put heavy loads in my new one. I would like to get a new Bisley though! (In .45!)
