    making .221 brass from .223

I was wondering what the best approach would be, would you aneal the brass, or push the brass anealing to the soft side since the brass is going to be worked quite a bit as a first step?

How do you control the hardness during annealing?

I take case, anneal it, run it through a Redding .221 body die, then trim, then through a RCBS inside ream die with a custom size tight neck, then ream the inside of the neck.

    Then I anneal again.

As you can see, it is far better to use RP factory brass.
