    7.62 x 39 Reloading Recipie ?

    .. search was no good..

Time to start building my 7.62 inventory - for bigger game. Cases/primers aren't too tricky - it's bullet and powder combos that I'm questioning. I have a bunch of IMR 4895, if I could find Accurate that would be better.

Sierra suggests the .311 Prohunter with IMR 4198.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

Accurate 1680 was made for the 7.62X39. If you can get some that is what I would do. I use it and it works really well. I use the 123gr Hornady SP bullets made for the 7.62X39 also.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

^^^^ Agreed! A1680 is optimal. For me, R7 would be second and 4198 would be third. All using a 123g projectile.

My friends grandfather recently passed away. He gave me some of his old supplies. With that was x39 brass along with some load data using IMR 4227 and 110gr 30 carbine projectiles.

When I get ahold of some 4227, I'll report back on it.

Accurate 1680 was made for the 7.62X39.
The Lee chart shows that it's one of the top runners for 123 and 125 bullets. Should even work with 150 bullets.

I see in my notes 1680 is good up to a 147 grain.

Powder V is wiped out of damn near everythig.

I have used 4227 with Xtreme plated bullets, I have worked up to where I think the SKS will start to cycle and the groups go to heck, I put a couple rounds through paper and the holes were not nice and round..... I guess the plating is ripping off. Before the groups opened up accuracy was good at 100 yards but POI was about 4" higher than Tula ammo and you have to rack the bolt each shot.

Bumslie, next time we are going to see each other remind me and can hook you up.
