Wolf .223 wholesale prices???

Hey guys, I’m just kind of daydreaming here. I don’t have anywhere to do it or a forklift but I’m wondering if any of you have ever priced any steel plinking .223 ammo by the pallet? How much was it and how big was the pallet? At this point, my friends all seem to have ARs and my club is up above 400 members. 50k or so looks to be easy to divvy up at the right price (maybe as a club buy and distribute at the potlucks). Do any of you have any idea how much savings can be had by ordering like this? I understand this really isn’t a lot of ammo in the grand scheme but it seems easy for a seller if their just kinda acting as a middleman and don’t have to break the thing down.

Just daydreaming here but would appreciate any info you guys have.

Are you just looking for steel? I can probably get you a decent price for brass case reloads at that quantity.

No free shipping or discounts. Bet shipping is ridiculous. .34 a round not including shipping. Not a bargain.

I know your thinking wholesale; but at least for a price guide AIM has a good deal right now. $.27 per round and about $31 per 1k for shipping above 1k (order 2 or more thousand and its about $31 per 1000 shipping).

Also; some of these places say free local pickup. If you could arrange your own, hopefully cheaper, shipper to pick the pallet up and freight it to you....

Just some ideas. I reload so steelcase is not my thing. Also; freight guys will drop it on your driveway (not where you want it) and you might have to request a truck with a lift since you don't have a loading dock... Just a heads up.

I reload too but don't think I'm guna continue with 5.56. Figure I will stick to steel and put my limited reloading time toward 308 (LR308, FAL and a M1A) where it makes a bigger difference in price and I care a little more about accuracy(for the LR308 anyway).

Well; good luck. I'd ask the distributor if you can mix or match at all. If you could offer people a choice between steelcase OR non bi metal jacket & brass (wolf gold) for say 4 cents more; that might help move a lot more ammo.

I used to buy it for under $3/box. I never bought it by the pallet though. Should be easy enough to find out. Give them a call.

presently something around $360 for a case of 1000 brass and around $200 for 62gr steel.. (personally never done steel so can't say if its a good or bad price)
