Need some crimp help on .38 special loads

Well I finally shed some light on this for anyone interested. I didn't have a 38/357 and my brother in law hasn't been able to go shooting with me in a while so I still haven't shot the test rounds I loaded. I did however pick up a S&W 686-4 so naturally I needed to start loading some .357 rounds.

This time I went for a set of RCBS carbide dies. What a difference! The bullets aren't falling in the cases anymore! I'm now getting about .006" neck tension versus the .002" I was getting before. I'm also seating the bullet a bit lower as was advised previously in the thread. I contacted Hornady and need to setup to send the sizing die in. Hopefully they can replace the insert or die so I won't have to buy another die set.

<> My 9mm sizing die had the zip shaft out of alignment and bent the decapping ion and bent the zip shaft. They replaced it under warranty but I'm uneasy that it'll happen again.

Lee decapper/sizer is my favorite. I wish Hornady would offer a handgun length spindle. All that extra length just gets in the way.
