Lyman Case Trimmer wobble

I purchased a Lyman case trimmer with the hand crank and I also got the attachment for using a drill. When I use the hand crank it seems to work OK.
When I use the drill attachment I see a wobble in the drill and the trimmer seems to wobble as well.
I have tried different drills and all are the same.
I check the base and there is some play where the trimming rod goes through the base.

I thought maybe the drill attachment was bent or warped, but with the play in the base I am not too sure.

Anyone seen this before ?

I have the same trimmer. i don't use a drill yet. It does have a lot of wobble but it relies on the precise fitting of the bushing into the case mouth to hold it straight. It works fine.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fussy set screw method of adjusting trim depth. I wish there was better way.

Most cheap consumer drills do not have a perfectly centered and aligned chuck. Put a drill bit in it and spin it, you'll see it spins in a cone, not completely stationary. You usually don't notice the wobble because the bits are free to move in space. When you attach it to something bolted to the bench, the chuck is now spinning around a static axis and the wobble is translated to the drill motor. I usually remove and reattach my drill several times to the trimmer spindle, and I'll eventually find a sweet spot with minimal wobble.

ok thanks for the feedback, I thought I may have a problem with the Lyman trimmer, but that does not appear to be the case.

UPDATE:
I purchased the trimmer from Amazon so I emailed them and told them the trimmer that attaches to the drill was defective.
I received a complete new trimmer, base, manual and drill rods in 1 day.

So I took the bad one, connected it to the drill, not in the base, just in the air and it wobbled like crazy. I repeated this several times as a previous post suggested it was the drill. No change.
I then put the new one in the drill and there was NO WOBBLE at all. I put it in and out of the drill several times with the same results.
So the Drill attachment for the case trimmer was indeed defective.
Now I need to go back and check my brass one more time.

Just thought all should be warned, it does happen.

Haven't got the drill adapter yet but I'm going to. Need to trim a couple hundred 6.5 swede and a TON of 7 mauser cases. I did like 150 6.5's a while ago and had frickin' arthritis afterward. Hand trimming sucks ***. Toying with one of those case prep centers and using the cutter adapter for the lee trimmer dealie.
