Just get it from Amazon from a third party seller. That's where I get all my Starline brass because I hate waiting for backorders.

Was looking to get some 45 Colt brass for my new Blackhawk Flattop. Nobody had any brass including Starline.
I kept checking Starlines site and noticed the change from "no backorder" to "backorder ok". Placed my order for 1000 and had it ~2 weeks from when I ordered it. Even though I had to keep checking it worked out good. Also, Starline's direct order price is the lowest I have seen for most brass and shipping is free.

This is how they've done it with .357M brass, too. Someone ordered 1,500 cases of .357M. Took about 3 weeks to get to his doorstop. I've heard plenty of other stories like this, so, KeithET's experience is apparently not unusual (that's a good thing).

They seem to be catching up. I've gotten notices on a couple of calibers I set up six months ago that they are in stock now. The exciting one was .45 auto rim - it went to backorder OK and it was at least two months before they actually had it available, and they called people first to make sure people still wanted it.
