Got the Lyman load data booklet for auto pistol calibers today.
    The booklet covers .380, 9mm Luger,40sw and 45acp.
Noticed that the Vihtavuori n320 powder is not listed for the 3656637 HP bullet. They do list Clays and Titegroup powders that I do have.
Also listed only 125gr, the bullets I'm casting is 134 gr., How do I adjust for the extra 8 grs.?, Any ideas?

I think this is an old wives tale. I've loaded and shot 1000s of cast bullets in a 17L and 19 with no leading problems. Glock has put out no reloads since they started but many people shot them it zero problems.

Okay, Thinking of loading the cast and powder coated 9mm, 134 grain hollow point bullets starting with 2.7grains of VVN320 powder at 1.060 OAL
Experienced reloaders any idea if this is a safe load to start with?
Will be shooting out of a Glock 17 with Wolf barrel.
I have been reloading copper plated Xtreme 147 rn with 3.3 grains of VVN320 OAL at 1.155 and they were good, haven't Chrono yet tho.

samjoe2425, are you in the right forum?
I'm trying to get a second opinion on the 9mm load.

If you don't own one pick up a copy of Lyman's cast bullet book.
              BTW I reported the spammer.

Lyman's 49th loading handbook does list that mold but not your powder but 14 other powders. You have any other powder?

Am I the only one to note that he is powdercoating his bullets. Which means they will NOT Lead.

Load to Jacketed Specs and PC bullets in pistols will operate just fine.

                      Unique start 3.2 max 3.8

It does list Clays & titegroup but these just don't use much powder 1.9 for one and 2.5 I really stay away from loads that use a powder charge where its very easy to double charge and maybe not be able to see it. I do like Unique in the 9MM.
They show best load is Power Pistol 4.1 to 4.6 max.

I've already loaded 10rds of VVN320 with 2.7 grains at 1.060 OAL, will this be safe to shoot?
And thanks for the Unique load starting at 3.2, what should I set the OAL to?
                        Thanks before hand.

Tom-ADC thanks for all the info. I will load some with Unique starting at 3.2 grains at 1.058 OAL and see how they shoot. Don't know when I can get out to an out door range to set-up my chrono. Bought a used chrono about a month ago figured I would need one soon or later since reloading.
Note: If someone has any experiene with the VVN 320 powder in 9mm and a short OAL let me know.

                              Just got a
CZ P07 9mm and I won't be able to shoot the Cast 356667 Lyman HP, still too long an OAL at 1.058. Anyone know of a different 9mm HP mold with a more slender ogive or slender profile? I not sure what the proper term for the shape of the front of the bullet is called.

You will be better served having a gunsmith run a standard reamer through your chamber to cut a .357" freebore. That way you'll be able to shoot anything you want.
