7625 for 9mm 115 LRN

Does anyone else have load data on this? I've searched a couple of manuals and Hogdon's site with no avail.



I don't have a chrono, so it's hard for me to gauge velocity of my reloads.



Here's my data so far:



Pistol: Kimber 1911 in 9mm



4.1gn @ 1.095 OAL - Would not cycle

4.3gn @ 1.095 OAL - Some would not cycle

4.5gn @ 1.095 OAL - Cycles all rounds, velocity seems on the slow side

4.7gn @ 1.095 OAL - Will be trying this next.

For one why are you loading to 380 lengths???

9mm should be about 1.120

I have found plenty of data for SR 7625.

In the 9mm I load 5 grains with any 115 or 125 grain bullet.

You will find this powder to be different than some of the others available.

I can not recommend it in .38 special,357 or any big cases.

It works good in the .45 and 9mm so it should be ok in the forty as well.

Watch you OAL too short means a lot more pressure.

BTW the Hodgdon websites lists seven loads for the 9MM

Lee has loads for 9mm using 7625 but its the XTP 115gr and XTP 95gr, then a couple of loads with 125 grain. Hornady doesn't show any loads in their book using 7625. Below is off the Hodgdon site which uses the 7625 in grains mainly between the 124-147 range.

4.5gr 1,031 28,000 PSI
4.9gr 1,113 32,300 PSI

Thanks for the replies guys.

I looked on the Lee, Hornady, Lyman, the Hogdon site and internet search. Non of them have 115 LRN specific data.

That's why I was wondering if anyone had experience with it and chrono'd

Btw- I corrected the OAL on my first post. It should be 1.095.
