I was wondering, If you find a powder and bullet combo that is very accurate in your rifle and you change the bullet brand but use the same weight and bullet coefficient is your point of impact gonna change?

Recently I purchased a box of berger 73's.I have a good supply of hornady 75's,but im thinking about what components are available and what is hard to get.I shoot highpower competitions with a service rifle and know my zeros.The difference will be small,will I be on target...yes!Hornady and Berger are quality manufacturers,just one cost more than the other.

Any change like that should cause an impact change at the target. What that variance is I'm not sure.

The long answer has to do with factors such as recoil pulse changes, bbl whip, and pressure differences. The long answer that encompasses those factors are better explained my some of the long time veteran Calgunners...i have some sniper experience, but I'm definitely not a long time veteran loader like Stilly or Bill Steele or Bumslie. Bumslie teaches reloading classes and has lots of good info. You might want to PM him to ask what you can do to try to keep the impact point somewhere close to your other load. He might have some suggestions.
