New to reloading...thinking about getting a vintage lee loader

I have never done any reloading, or been around it being done. I have been shooting a lot of Skeet, and 12 gauge seems like a pretty easy place to start. I have watched some videos and got a sense of what is involved, and like the idea of getting a simple vintage Lee Loader setup. I realize the Lee Load-all (this is a different company right?) is kind of what everyone suggests, but I like the idea of having something that is small and portable and more hands on for learning.

I wanted to see what you opinions were on this? Will a vintage lee loader do a good job for reloading SS bird shot?

Also is powder still difficult to get? Is this the same issue with shotgun powder (I assume it is).

I live in the bay area (San Francisco), so if anyone can suggest a local reloading shop that would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to to the addiction. Lee is good! I started with the cast frame single stage for metallic cartridges. view the stickies at the top of this forum and find a clinic close to you. It may be geared towards metallic reloading but can be applied to shotshell as well.
