5.4 1.12 oal, 115gr fmj, shot out of a g19, sig 226, Beretta 92fs. Best grouping was with the beretta. Gotta admit it was clean burning, cycled well. Not too bad.

<4 years till retirement, can't wait to leave this state
California, where all of the good stuff is banned, registered, regulated or prohibited, yay.....

Law abiding firearm owners have no chance in this state.

        bump it up

Just wanted to see if anyone has anymore current data with regards to
        CFE Pistol and Xtreme Bullets.

Getting ready to do some .45

I have taken note of all other posts and their findings.

        Thanks

Hodgdons site is showing between 5.4-6.5gr with a Cast LRN 230gr bullet. Should be a good base for plated bullets also.

I had read for Xtreme bullets with CFE Pistol to use the same data as the Jacketed Bullets of the same weight not the Cast Bullets data.

For example if you look up 45ACP/CFE and 200gr, you get 7.4-8.2 for cast and 6.3-7.2 for jacketed, and note these 2 data points do not overlap.

Once the CFE Pistol comes in Im going to work up some 10mm loads. Velocities posted on the Hodgdon website seems promising.

Finally made it out to the range to test some new loads for Xtreme's 135 grain bullets for 9mm. Here's what I settled on and tested in a Beretta 92F and a Glock 17 with Storm Lake Barrel. This gave great accuracy, reliable cycling, and the manageable recoil was saying it wasn't too hot.

                Caliber: 9mm Luger
Bullet: Xtreme 135 grain Copper Plated RNFP
Powder: 4.6 grains of CFE Pistol
                Primer: Federal SPP
                OAL: 1.111"

I did (2) 10 shot groups of 4.2 grains and 4.6 grains. Previous loads I worked up with this powder and Xtreme bullets made me confident that the 0.4 grain jump would be safe. My Lee charge bar is inconsistent with a charge this small so these 4.2 and 4.6 grains are what the 2nd and 3rd smallest disks for the Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure were spitting out consistently.

As always, use this data as a reference only.
