    Simple Question: Corncob Vs. Walnut

This is a very simple question. What do you prefer?
I've been using corncob but am interested in trying walnut.

    Thanks for playing!

I use fine walnut (24/40) with about half a cap of New Finish. Brass comes out ridiculously shiny.

I prefer walnut -- Snake or lizard litter plus a dollop of old auto polish ---

I use to use walnut but, recently I went to SS pins and wet tumbling. Walnut is still my back up.

Walnut only for me. Cases come out clean and shiny... never saw the need to add an additional step using corn.

crushed walnut shell (from the pet store)
Flitz, NuFinish works well from what I have heard.
used dryer-sheet cut in to smaller pieces.

corncob not needed, but can be used to polish.

I've been using corn cob, makes everything nice and shiny. For grimey or really tarnished range brass I'm sure walnut would do a much better job.

I cannot use Walnut, as my lady is allergic.
Her fingers would swell with just moderate skin contact w/ the shell-dust.

I use cob with Brasso, and mineral spirits and a dryer sheet cut into smaller squares.

(Don't knock Brasso unless you have actually used it... as some people have used it for 20+ years with ZERO issues.)

Walnut due to being more durable than corncob. I add several capful of Nufinish car wax to the walnut and let it run for 30 mins without the brass. Add the brass afterwards and watch the bling happen.

Is this some cleverly disguised Glock vs. 1911 Thread?
