9 mm -115 gr vs 147 gr GDHP

I have some Speers 147 grain GDHP ammo and some 115 grain GDHP ammo also. Which is better for self defense purposes with a Glock 26? My best guess would be the heavier grain is better....but I am not expert. Thoughts?

The 115 grain ammo is marked "Law Enforcement" and there is a red sticker on it "WARNING--For law Enforcement Use Only" is that marketing or for real?

You don't have to worry about the LE label.
Personally I prefer heavier bullets, so I'd use the 147gr.
In reality it probably doesn't matter much. Any reputable SD ammo is typically fine. Just make sure it functions in your gun and you're GTG.

Gold Dot ammo is good ammo. With either weight you cannot go wrong. Just like XD stated "make sure it functions in your gun".

The marking LE is basically pure marketing. I've seen LE marking on Gold Dot boxes sold to civilians.

shoot them both & figure out which one preforms best in your gun.

Both are good, just make sure they run in your gun. The 147's will shoot high compared to the 115's. I run 127+P+ in my Glocks
