    Hornady Seating Die Question.

I have Hornady die sets for both 380 Auto and 9mm Luger. Neither set's seating dies are marked however both come with the same expander, marked "9MM - 380 AUTO"

is it reasonable to assume the seading die is the same as well? both have similar case mouth diameters, to which I mean the crimping feature would engage the cases equally (just at different depths).

I don't see why you couldn't use them interchangeably without crimping... I can assure you that the 9mm will seat a bullet into .380 brass.

Only difference in seating for 380, 9mm, 38 spc, and 357 mag is the case height. That said, the die must be able to adjust down far enough for all of them. Whether they are both taper crimp would be good to know.

A call to hornady would answer this?

try it, if it doesn't bind up or change anything with the brass then I wouldn't see why it would hurt.

If it is this one, yes.
