Internet Ammo ?

Hey, I'm new to this online shopping thing. I was on a site trying to purchase some hard to find .30-40 Krag ammo and while filling out the ship to form it would not let me enter nor was it listed, California. Is there a law prohibiting online ammo sales to CA ? I've noticed other sites resticting sales to certain CA cities and counties that I do not live in. Did I lose yet another right living here in the peoples republic of kalifornia ?

In the city of LA I think you need figure prints to buy ammo. However, lots of online stores make it out to be LA county, then I'm sure some places turn it into all of California.

No restriction on shipping ammo to CA as a state, but a few cities do not allow it.
