What did I do wrong :(

First time reloading 6.8 SPC, been reloading 223s,308s,270s. But this time using FC marked brass and Hornady sizing dies/seater. When seating using Barnes MPG 85gr flat base, the brass sems like to have buckled from the shoulder area as shown on the pics. Reloaded 50 rounds and 10 came out like this. The other 40 looks decent.
What could I have done wrong?
Can I still run this through the sizer and reuse?

looks like you have to much crimp. back your seating die out a little.

No, that brass is done for, It's a lot too much crimp.

This is very like this is the culprit. You said you're using a Hornady seating die. Have you ever used a Hornady seating die before?

Read the instructions for the Hornady seating die again and follow the instructions. The Hornady seating die is different than other MFG. seating dies and has to be backed off more than others or else you will crush shoulders as you did.

Yes first time with Hornady dies. Most dies I have are RCBS.

raise press to top of stroke, screw die in until it touches shellholder then back it out 1 turn, now seat your bullet adjusting seating depth with turning seater plug. more than likely you wont crush shoulders anymore

Too much crimp maybe ,but your cases might be too long..check the length

Make sure you put a nice chamfer on the neck of your case as well.The jackets on these bullets is tougher than most and being a flat-based bullet you don't have the boattail to iron out the necks.
Flat base bullets get a pressure ring from the manufacturing process which makes them thicker at the base than anywhere else.The large manufacturers roll this slight bulge away to make there bullets very uniform while the boutique bullet makers leave it in place.

I agree with this... I remember getting lazy doing .308 and having this happen. Re-set up my die and it was good to go.

IMO -- you are crimping before bullet is fully seated -
Adjust your dies to fully seat the bullet used, then re adjust to crimp -
Perhaps you are seating to an overall length rather than the bullet ogive --
Your dies may be the style that uses the seating bushing to crimp rather than the die body.

The brass is possibly still usable but probably not worth the effort to salvage --
It would require unloading, resizing and fireforming --
