    44-40

I found a 200 rounds of 44-40 in my dads old ammo box. I was wondering what would be a fair price should I decide to sell them? It is Winchester super-x 200 grain soft point and says x4440 on the box. I do know it was purchased prior to 2000.

    Thanks Mike

    Mikey,

It sells for about $58/box on Midway but it is a very limited market. The low pressure pistol ammo is gaining popularity with Cowboy action shooters but most of those guys will reload their ammo.

The high speed version was made for rifles only and will give you all kinds of problems in older handguns

I think around 30ish a box it would sell here, who knows? I still am sad I had to pass a S&W mod 544 in this caliber earlier this year at $400, no cash.
